Afro-pop sensation Eleh has joined forces with South African rap heavyweight Kwesta for their brand-new collaboration "Ndi A Ni Funa," which hit streaming platforms on March 18th, 2026.
The seamless blend of heartfelt melodies and sharp rap verses immediately caught my ear. I just knew I had to connect with Eleh to dive deeper into how this collaboration came together..
Eleh's making waves in the Afrohouse scene, originally from Makwarela in Venda and has an amazing talent for mixing traditional African sounds with modern beats.
MY MUSICAL JOURNEY
I started at AFDA as a live performance major—that's where music really grabbed me. For the past seven years, I've worked with artists from the PR side, which taught me tons about the music business. But I always had that creative itch, so I decided to go solo.
MY MUSICAL STYLE
I'm still figuring out the best way to describe my style, but I create music that's soulful, emotional, and deeply spiritual. I blend traditional influences with contemporary beats - you could call it Afrocentric soul. My music constantly honors my roots and cultural heritage, delivering a smooth, vibrant sound that brings both joy and deep emotional connection. Through my songs, I want to take listeners on a rhythmic journey that's both captivating and soul-stirring.
LATEST COLLABORATION WITH KWESTA ON THE MULTILINGUAL LOVE ANTHEM 'Ndi A Ni Funa’
I actually hit up Kwesta about this collaboration three years ago. We talked about it back then, and it finally happened this year.
"Ndi A Ni Funa" blends soulful melodies with rhythmic rap, mixing my Afro pop style with Kwesta's amazing lyrical skills. It's a love story that crosses languages, cultures, and borders—basically an anthem for lovers and music fans everywhere.
You'll hear infectious beats, heartfelt lyrics, and rich harmonies. The track shows off both our styles while celebrating South African music's diversity.
This collaboration fits perfectly with the multilingual trend in Afro pop and hip-hop, showing how beautiful cultural fusion can be in today's music.
The single's out now on all streaming platforms. Give it a listen, share it, and join the conversation with #NdiANiFuna.
THIS COLLABORATION FIT INTO THE BIGGER PICTURE
I'm a big believer in collaborations. Nobody exists alone in the real world - you need others to survive and thrive. Music is a feeling and universal language that should be shared. This collaboration helps me grow my audience and connect with more people. "NDI A NI FUNA" is a love anthem that means "I love you" in Tshivenda. It'll resonate with many people because love is universal - everyone wants to be loved or learn to love themselves.
OTHER PROJECT'S & WHAT'S NEXT
I just finished a studio session with another artist. Over the past few weeks, I've worked with amazing artists from hip hop to R&B, bringing soul to my hip hop collaboration. Keep watching - there's plenty of music coming, including more Afrobeats, contemporary beats, and Afro soul.
