HURRICANE WISDOM CELEBRATES GLOBAL VIBES WITH NEW AFROBEATS-INFLECTED SINGLE “LIVING UP”

Rising rap star Hurricane Wisdom is going global with his new single "LIVING UP" - an Afrobeats-inspired track that came from his recent trip to Nigeria. The song's out now on all streaming platforms through Gamma, complete with a music video that shows his journey.

At 24, Hurricane has already hit the Billboard 200 with his projects Perfect Storm and Perfect Storm: Sorry 4 The Rain. "LIVING UP" shows off a new sound for him, mixing his melodic rap style with upbeat Afrobeats rhythms. Nigerian producer Rugged (who's worked with Davido) handled the production, creating a feel-good anthem with tropical percussion and catchy melodies that match Hurricane's raspy vocals perfectly.

The music video, directed by Why Blink Focus, takes you through Hurricane's Lagos trip, including scenes in the vibrant Makoko neighborhood. It's all about connecting through music and shows how powerful cultural exchange can be. The whole thing turns into a sing-along anthem that hits way beyond just one region.

Hurricane's been getting noticed internationally too. Billboard called out how "he breaks regional barriers with gritty storytelling and witty one-liners." He's also gotten props from Pitchfork and UPROXX.

Coming from Havana, Florida, Hurricane's known for pushing musical boundaries. His 2025 releases consistently chart on Billboard, and tracks like "Drugs Callin (Remix)" with Lil Baby have racked up over 50 million streams while topping YouTube's Trending Chart. With "LIVING UP," he's expanding his reach even more, embracing African influences while delivering music that celebrates resilience, joy, and success.
